New Look

I am so thankful for friends that share their talents!
This is what my living room looked like before...

And now, thanks to Jenna for the terrific photos and another friend for arranging them on my wall I have a whole new house!
My living room is all rearranged and looks GREAT! I would post more photos but, you just have to come and see it for yourself!
Sharing Talents is the best!

Teachers

I'm grateful for the Teachers at School that work so hard to help my kids understand their work. I have tried ONE day of home school with my kids and it is not easy to do, it made me really appreciate the patients and knowledge teachers have.

Buddies

They like each other. They really, really like each other!

I am so grateful that my kids love to play together
Jumping on the trampoline in P.J's is common

Alley my little mother bear taking care of Brady
Its heart warming to see.

Elizabeth in her usual role of torchuring Claire
the funny thing is Claire is a willing participant!

Brady is willing to take on ANYONE that will wrestle with him

It's such a simple thing, but to me, having kids that love each other and play well together is a blessing. They are best friends, cheering one another on, feeling sad when the other is having a hard day, and forgiving. They know when they get home from school that their best friends will be home.

More Thanks

I Love Ben Miller

I do feel a little weird posting a love note to my husband on my blog for everyone to see. Ben and I are not an overly affectionate couple, (in fact, my Mom once suggested that a little hug or us sitting next to each other on the couch would be O.K. for a married couple to do!) so you can see my trouble posting this! thanks Jenna for capturing this picture!

It was love at first site, for me at least. I saw him walk into math and I instantly knew I was on a mission to find out everything I could about this mystery man. My research became very easy because he was in my ward, and as it turned out in my Family home evening group. I laid on the charm, which was a little harder than I thought, Not just I was after this R.M. but I had competition. Well we could go into the long story about how I took the other girls out, but I think we all know the ending.

We were married December 29th 1998 in Boise Idaho. This year will 10 years!
I couldn't be happier than I am when I'm with Ben.
He is so fun to be around, he is a constant tease. I am learning to deal with it quite nicely, dishing it right back!
He supports me in all that I do or try to do.
He always tells me the truth, something I definitely value, Especially when I need a sounding board or just some one to tell me "if these jeans make me look fat" ---In which his usual response is "no your face makes you look fat!" (one of those teasing lines from Tommy Boy) And then he goes on to tell me the truth, weather I like it or not!
He is a great provider. Although having five kids is tight, I have always been blessed with a husband that works hard so I can stay home, which means the world to me.
He loves our children, and is a great Dad.
He takes me to the temple.
I feel overly blessed to be married to such a wonderful man. We have had a great marriage and life together, I'm so thankful to know that this will never end. I married the man of my dreams.

Thanks Day 7

Today I am thankful for my HEALTH. I just did some quick math and I have been married for ten years. Of those ten years I have been Sick for four of them. Now you can understand my joy for good health. Anyone who ever suffered with nine months of morning sickness, or even one month for that matter, will never take health for granted again!

Day 6

I read the Relief Society lesson last night and absolutely loved it! It's about trials. In the beginning of the lesson, it tells of Joseph Smith being tared and feathered the details are painful to read. His skin was pealed off as they had to remove the feathers. Yet, the very next day he was teaching his Sunday lesson, bringing people to Christ. He then goes on to baptize some of the men from the night before that had hurt him. What an example to follow, I'm so grateful for the Prophet Joseph.

Saturday Night

I really look forward all week to Date Night. First, I get to hang out with the hottest guy ever. And second I get to catch up on all the TV shows we miss from not having cable.

Our date is the same every week. Kids watch their movie and Ben and I watch The Office, Survivor and the Biggest Looser...With a big bowl of popcorn (fat-free, biggest looser is motivating!) I'm Thankful to have Dates!

School

It's so crazy and busy here in the morning and evening with the whole family home trying to get ready for school or for bed; that nothing gets done. Well, actually a lot of fighting and crying gets done...BUT when 8:45 a.m. hits and I send the kids out the door, I couldn't be more grateful for School.

Cozy

On a rainy, windy day like today I am thankful for my warm house. Its so nice to stay inside and feel safe and warm. I think I'd better find me a great soup recipe, a sappy movie and call it a night!

America the Beautiful

Today I am thankful for my FREEDOM. I feel so blessed to live in a country where the people are the voice. In our constitution some of the things we are guaranteed is that we have the right to free speech, bear arms, and religion. These rights are constantly under attack and that's why it infuriates me when people don't vote, I don't care if "technically" someone my think their vote doesn't count, we live in America where we have the privilege, and responsibility to make this nation great! Your vote is a symbol of freedom.
In the Book of Mormon the Lord promises the Nephites that as long as the voice of the people is a righteous voice the people will prosper but, when the majority of the people are wicked they will be swept off the face of the land. Use your freedom and Vote!

Thanksgiving Count Down

In honor of thanksgiving I have decided to post Every Day (fingers crossed) of some things I am truly thankful for.

I will start, because its fresh on my mind, that I am thankful for Friends. I went to church last week and a friend that probably needed my help, helped me by asking how I was doing? She asked so sincerely that I knew she meant it. A simple act of kindness proved her to be an example to me of kindness and friendship.

Another thing I absolutely love are the friends that have a positive attitude about life, even when life is hard! Its the women that are always smiling, always happy to help and seem to never see the grey in life, that are so exceptional to me. ( I would love to drop a few names here, but I would surely forget someone!)

Last week a group of my dearest friends come to visit, we talked and ate and just had a glorious time. I think one of the reasons friends are so special to me, is that I can feel the spirit of Christ radiate through them, making me want to be like them and to be a better person!
