Whooping Cough

This is a really sad post, but I have had several people ask me how poor little Bennett is doing.  Words can not describe how terrifying this cough is. And I want everyone to know what whooping cough looks and sounds like.
This kind of attack occurs about every 45 minutes.

We had to take Bennett in to the Dr's twice because when he is not coughing he is OK.  So we recorded an episode of him coughing to show the doctor, and soon they took us very seriously.
This is my rant about getting your kids vaccinated, because some kid did not get his vaccine Bennett ended up with this.

Good thing you have your mom's intuition and didn't listen to the doctors! Poor Bennett! How did your first day in the new ward go? I was thinking about you all day!

That is so sad! He is such a cute boy. It must be hard to have a sick baby. I'm sorry.

so so sorry!! My mom had that whopping cough, too. It took a long time to get over it, so hopefully, Bennett will be able to get well soon. It is horrible having sick children, especially the real little ones. You are in a new ward? Did y'all have some boundary changes? What else is going on? Would love to hear all the details!! We will pray for you and your sweet family!! Love you!

Oh my goodness Jennifer, poor Bennett. How scary. Did the doctor say how long it will take for him to recover? It must be hard to get any sleep, I'm sure you are worried all the time. Isn't it ridiculous that people aren't getting vaccinated? Everyone needs to get vaccinated and especially against pertussis. I heard WA has the highest rate of pertussis this year.

Jennifer I just read your post. OH MY GOSH!!! I'm so worried about Bennett now and mad at the unvaccinated kid that gave it to him. Are you all moved? I'm heading home to Kuna on Friday and will think of you fondly as I drive by Bennett Road and all the places we hung out in Nampa. I'll call you soon. I want to know how everything went with the move and how that cute baby is doing. I'm praying for your sanity and his health.
